Problems with Food Temperatures at Remke stores
It is important to store certain foods at proper temperatures to prevent the growth of potentially harmful bacteria. Remke stores have received multiple critical violations in the last two years for storing food for sale at improper temperatures, including:
- "Chicken warmer at deli and in front of cash registers should reach and maintain 140 degrees or more."

- "Potentially hazardous foods not maintained at 140 degrees Fahrenheit or higher at all times except during necessary periods of preparation and service. Rotissiere [sic] chickens in the deli hot hold unit observed at 125 degrees F..."
- 2501 Dixie Highway, Ft. Mitchell, 11/17/08
- "Hot foods need to be adjusted to maintain a temperature of 140 F"
- 82 Carothers Rd, Newport, 3/20/08
Critical violations are usually corrected at the time of inspection, or within 10 days on a follow-up inspection. All similar violations from the past two years, found during regular inspections, can be found here. There were no citations for temperature related problems at Remke stores in Taylor Mill, Florence and Hebron during the same time period (1/1/07-12/31/08).

- "7 - boxes of children's Tylenol Meltaways were observed past their expiration date. 4- boxes of Zantac were observed past their expiration date. (these items were removed from the shelves immediately)” (critical violation)

-“Non-chlorine based sanitizing solution not used in accordance with label directions. Ammonia solution needed for deli department.” (Critical) - Crescent Springs, 8/4/08
